1. Consider and reflect on your own practice as a classroom teacher. What do you do to promote the success of all students?
2. Working with another educator, how could differentiated support be added to an already planned unit?
3. Engage with your students! To best determine each student's individual needs, keep track of valuable quantitative data, and - just as important - track qualitative data, too! Remember, good relationships with students help foster student engagement.
4. Brainstorm with stakeholders how to best involve the community with the school - a school that works with the community is a school that helps foster community-minded students.
5. Is there a way to add differentiation to an assessment? Take an already-created unit and brainstorm various ways students can show mastery; consider adding student choice! Students who have a say in their education are more likely to be engaged in their learning!
